- On bad companies, bad capitalism and Compass Layoff - You’re not a failure, you’re a worker. Capitalism does not reward those who work hard, it rewards the bourgeoisie who back one another for their mistakes (RL sabbatical anyone?) It’s hard not to take this personally because the people above you personally took the time to put your name on the list but truly, capitalism is inhumane. - Compass leadership hired and expanded when they shouldn’t. They gave insane incentives for inorganic growth. They gave insane services that required human labor instead of automated tools. And lastly, there’s a pack of leeches called investors impatient for their cut of profits for doing nothing more than providing capital. None of the workers are driving this bus on fire, we’re just trying to keep it running. - You deserve better and I encourage you give yourself time to recuperate as much as possible. Compass doesn’t deserve your valuable labor. -
