It cuts through to make shine whereever we focus it. It's the spotlight of the mind. We use it grok this world into our mental model of abstraction. To interpret or give meaning to focused part so it fits into our understanding. We are in a dark room with a beam of laser - the cold light of intellect - trying to see. That's our sharp intellect at work. - But in process we have forgotten what we already have. What we dont' need to trian our minds on. We have the floodlights. Which illuminates and brings the entire room into our field of view without division of parts. The floodlights may not help shine the bright light to decipher and slice thought a particualr object of focus but it what we alreayd have to show the forest for the trees. - Ok. for Jan 26th, 2024 - I will add one more paragraph to bring closure - how it's easier to use floodlight when you wanna stay calm. Use laser like a tool - We don't have to learn it. But just remember. We need to turn off the spotlight. - - Block Reference Wow. I am impressed. This is working despite my negative thoughts #lol. That a #system collapsed:: true - Task 1 - Writing is hard man. It's like forcing your to vomit while your entire is resisting it. - Task 5 - Writing is hard - Notes from Israel Lobby - Notes from On Writing Well - Writing is hard Letters/Writing is Hard - writing is like regurgtating ingredients from your stomach and using this vomit to make a delicious meal in real time while your body and mind resists in the background #lol #loveit❤️ - As I started my 90-90 project and I have finding it difficult to even sit at th e computer as I think about writing. It's like a body goes into deep resistantce. I have had thoughts of canning the entire projects. I know this play of the mind. IT's same one that gets activated when one starts hitting the gym the first time. The minds wants your to quite and you find 1000+ good, rational, factual reasons why that would be a good idea. - Writing is thinking. Thinking is hard. We assume we think all the time but that's not not thinking that's just distractions. id:: 65b8ebed-da56-4951-bf20-19468088d546 - To communicate we have to articulate. WE have to string the wrokds in a cohesive set that is interesting and convincing enough for the reader. What we call thinking is not articulating but a set of cloud and thought bubbles with our minds jumping and skipping logical steps to confirm our biases and belifes. This is why it's hard to articulate a nuanced idea which we might think we have know very well. There are many topics that I know very well but I can't acticulate. I haven't done the 'thinking' on it. Now, I dont' need to as, am not trying to convince anyone or take a position in a debate panel or even hold an opinion that I feel needs to be justified. But if I had convince or influence or evne share this with the world, I need to think about it. I need to articulate. Writing is that articulation! - (author: #wow - love the words coming out of me now) - Writing brings something into the world that didn't exist before. The passage takes form. I like shaping it once I have the words in place. It's an iterative task and with each iteration you see the writing come alive and take color. It feels differnt. It touches diffenrtly. All of this is a creaitve task. Easier once you get into the flow. The start is the hardests or lets say to get into the flow is not natural to me and oftens I ma in a block state. Body, mind and eveything jsut resitatnt the act of the words written down by my hads. Resisting to vomit. - Once the vomit is out. Rest is creative task equivalent to preparing the food. - Task 11 Closing - I used kaizen way to overcome the hurdles. Small micro tasks - a task so simple or let's we keep making it simpler until it almost impossible to not be able to. Example coudl - writing one word, or even opening the page. Side note - for gym - the act of just wearing the gym shoes helps. - This helps break the ice and invite myself into the flow. - This is letter is part of the the kaizen task. I like hwo it shaped up. It started by be my writing just once sentence to breka the ice, to then writing 3 keywords and bullets, and then on and on - one step after another. Not fearing the end goal of writing but just next setsp. And then I find myself into the flow to produce this. Hope you like it. - - - Books/On Writing Well - Wow. What a session.
