  - My Daily Mantra: Honor the present moment
- πŸ›οΈ 6:30 - 7:30 AM: #meditation/invitation20 x2, could not let go, leads to self inquiry. See morning pages.
- πŸ“ž 7:30 AM: call with #mom & dad - saie chooser her saree #P/The Wedding
- **08:06 AM, day. Morning Pages** πŸ…πŸ…

- Remember: No Rush
- I was befuddled. Then I discover fact based logic #selfinquiry
	  collapsed:: true
  - Ok. I have been frustrated, unable to assess or cope on the deep trigger in my psyche after calls with #saiefamily. I saw their intrusion with malice and dominating with such manipulating force that puts me in disbelief at times, hurt, fearful and a growing rage to pin this problem down to ground. My desire to show them their place - how dare them.
  - I cannot accept their behavior. Why can't they acknowledge my way first instead of dictating and directing their opinion without any empathy or awareness? At lest that's what it feels like, and then the problem really is when I see reality mould as per their needs and situation conforming to it and I find myself frustrated, angry, ALONE, in the battleground to fight!
  - Fight is hard as I have given them authority. A place in my head so this lets them shoot down from above. I am enraged writing this.
  - But as I ruminate these thoughts, as they won't let go even during meditation, my #mom & dad call and show similar behavior in a way, which then I cast as 'incompetence' instead of malice. Hmm. That changes my reaction to it. I am still upset but then I am able to get over it by lecturing them a bit, laughing a little, while having a upper hand. ==That's the key - I have the upper hand.==. Even if I attribute incompetence to #Saie Parents for their behavior, what am I not able to have the upper hand? Have I given them authority? Or maybe as I attribute malice to their intent I am fearful and then automatically going to defensive, closed, low level position? Reminiscent of @Raju Matta and how I felt at Compass. **Very close to paranoia**
  - Let's look at this from the lens of incompetence:
		  collapsed:: true
  - Yes. They are. Then they say things as per their understanding of the situation. And then without feedback we as children, already low level, are bound to take their words from a position of authority. We expect that to be more emphatic, they aren't. We are hurt. And we are unable to counter it. Again -- wtf happened???
  - Let's look at from the lens of incompetence.
  - An incompetent adult gives a strong opinion. Would you try to make him understand or dismiss it outright with logic? ==Yes - logic #boom. OMG. Logic Beats Incompetence. I think I have made a #discovery.==
  - You give them logic and let them untangle their own thinking. Then you stop paying attention to it.
  - But how about folks like Raju? Incompetence or malice? I know logic would not have gotten him?
  - Understanding would not have worked either. Keep the logic simple for that scares them. #Incompetence is scared of logic. Simple logic. Raju avoids it. But he was scared for his own manager @joseph sirosh - and I never exploited that much but enjoyed his tremors. Hoped that he would maybe understand but this was a failure of my own understanding.
  - How did @ian cs gel with Raju so well? Was that logical. I saw that as shared understanding that felt like a foreign language to me - sort of a #corruptspeak. I doubted that as my own incompetence at times and have had sleepless nights. But I never used logic with them? High level simple logic not a rational arguments to help them understand - like - well, you said X, but here are the FACTS . Hmmm it's the FACT based logic that's the key #ooooo
  - So it's the fact based logic that beats malice incompetence. Hmmm.
  - How wold then I tackle #Saie Parents:
		  collapsed:: true
  - they: Yes wear Saree, 2 saree, you can also wear many different clothes, don't worry, just approved and we will bring clothes
  - sid: Ok. We have 1.5 hours for entire ceremony. 30 mins0 bla, so won't have time to change so many clothes. That's a fact
  - We will have pre-wedding shoot, that's the attire for wedding, this is going to be what we call the wedding dress. That's a fact.
  - After wedding We need to mingle with people and eat food. There will be pictures in that dress. That's a fact.
  - Changing dress requires leaving the mandaa, walking down the aile, going upstairs, and change, and come down, walk back on the aile, get back on mandap. That's a fact.
  - Mandap is goign to at the end of the room, so walking up to room itself is 5 to 10 mintes. That's a fact.
  - We have a theme of the decors. And Bride and Groom dresses must match for it to look good. That's a fact!
  - I think that's enough. Wow.
  - Wow. I automatically feel better. And I am not upset, frustrated, rothlu, when I lay down the fact. Hmm. In fact, Laying down the facts manifests authority. Boom. That's #Status switch right there.
  - I have been avoiding fact based conversations all my life. For I believed to always align on shared understanding. #meaculpa

  - True, spiritually, and understanding is the ultimate seeing. But in this world to collaborate we need logic and facts while also keeping the prime principle of logic at the back of our minds: Block Reference
  - Therefore, Incompetence is lack of Faith, let's not be **befuddled** by it, instead give them the crutch of logic so they can walk: Block Reference

- Let's go!
- Ok Apple silicon SD on my mac took 74 seconds and about 10 GB of ram. Bogs the systems and painfully slow hmm. I didn't this any different than non apple silicon sd.. :/
- Ah well ok - running the inference via apple swift code, previous run was using python code, not sure what where when python vs swift... what is native C++ and what is not.. bla bla, and why would Swift be faster is python uses native C++?
- OK SO Summary of my understanding thus far: Tech/On Stable Diffusion on Apple Silicon
	  collapsed:: true
  - HuggingFace blogpost I followed to grok: https://huggingface.co/blog/diffusers-coreml
  - Apple ported SD to apple silicon whatever that mean but something along the lines of compiling to run with CoreML so that it can use the Apple's neural engine on their chip. So it's fast and efficient.
  - The open source repo provides script to convert pytorch weights to coreml weight. Then one can use apple's provided python script or swift example code run the core ml SD model.
  - Huggingface converted the weights of few checkpoints of SD model, and then they wrote a Swift UI Mac, iOS, iPad app to run SD natively using core neural engine so native native, on all apple platforms. https://github.com/huggingface/swift-coreml-diffusers
  - "πŸ€— Hugging Face created an open-source demo app on top of this library. It's written in native Swift and Swift UI, and runs on macOS, iOS and iPadOS. You can use the code as a starting point for your app, or to see how to integrate this library in your own projects."
  - Ok so #boom, this solves the SD on mobile problem eh??
  - From the repo: Performance (after the initial generation, which is slower)

		  **~8.3s in macOS on MacBook Pro M1 Max (64 GB)**. Model: Stable Diffusion v2-base, ORIGINAL attention implementation, CPU + GPU.

		  **23 ~ 30s on iPhone 13 Pro.** Model: Stable Diffusion v2-base, SPLIT_EINSUM attention, CPU + Neural Engine, memory reduction enabled.
  - "Performance on iPhone is somewhat erratic, sometimes ==it's ~20x slower and the phone heats up.== This happens because the model could not be scheduled to run on the Neural Engine and everything happens in the CPU. We have not been able to determine the reasons for this problem"
  - Now compare that to 4 seconds we get on replicate or pipeline which I guess uses A100? shared and cost per 1000 images is $3
  - This sort of make the @Liu Liu SF Dude effort of porting SD to swift official from Apple. Now all of us can make a NATIVE AI NATIVE Apple - I calling it Native Native mobile app using generative tech.

	  collapsed:: true
  - what does "run inference" when we talk about AI models
		  collapsed:: true
  - To run inference with an AI model means to use the trained model to make predictions on new data. In other words, it means to feed the model data that it has not seen before, and ask the model to make predictions based on what it has learned during training. Inference is often used to evaluate the performance of a trained model on a new dataset.
  - How do I get size of folder in Unix
  - ```du -sh directory_name```
  - How do I add a git repo inside existing repo
  - ```git submodule add https://github.com//sub-repo sub-repo-folder```
  - For new clones - ```git clone --recursive ``` to get all repo downloaded
  - Else - one can also do ```git submodule update --init --recursive``` to update all submodules
  - What does 'converting the weight' for a machine learning model mean?
  - When we talk about "converting the weights" in the context of machine learning models, it typically refers to the process of converting the model's learned parameters from one format to another. The weights of a machine learning model represent the learned knowledge of the model and are typically stored in a specific file format. If you want to use the model in a different framework or platform, you may need to convert the weights to a format that is compatible with that framework or platform. This process of converting the weights is often necessary when using models trained in one framework (such as PyTorch or TensorFlow) with another framework (such as Core ML)
